Last Friday, 30 May 2025, Elephant in the Boardroom had the privilege of attending one of the most anticipated events on the corporate calendar, the Victory in Business – Grand Final Luncheon, proudly presented by AGL.

As avid supporters of the Victory in Business community, we were thrilled to be part of a day that brought together a dynamic mix of business leaders, partners, and changemakers all under one roof at the iconic Crown Palladium.

Not Just Another Networking Event

We invited some of our most esteemed clients and partners to join us at our table, sharing great conversation, delicious food, and the kind of camaraderie that reminds us why building strong business relationships truly matters.

But the highlight of the afternoon? Hearing from the inspiration Jelena Dokic, a former World No. 4 tennis star, bestselling author, and one of Australia’s most powerful voices advocating for mental health, domestic violence, child abuse, and resilience. Jelena shared her remarkable journey from the global tennis circuit to the commentary box and how she transformed personal hardship into a platform for advocacy and empowerment. Her words were raw, real, and nothing short of inspiring.

With her trademark honesty and strength, Jelena spoke about the highs and lows of her career, the importance of self-worth, and the role of mental wellbeing in both sport and life. It was a timely reminder that behind every success story lies grit, growth, and often–unseen struggle.

The luncheon officially kicked off at 11 am, but the energy carried on well into the evening. Following the main event, guests made their way to Marmont for the official after-party, a chance to unwind, connect more informally, and continue the celebrations into the night.
